Barnes & Noble College hosts an annual, week long sales conference in Orlando for its team of 1000+ managers. For the past 13 years, reitdesign has provided creative direction and implementation for the entire event whose theme changes annually to reflect current initiatives and focus.
This year reitdesign centered the show’s theme around the hashtag “#TOGETHERWE2016”. For the first time since working with the show, we produced a mobile-friendly microsite specifically for the event, togetherwe2016.com. The password-protected site incorporated the show’s schedule, exhibitor listings and an interactive floor plan.
Show attendees were encouraged to document their experience using branded photo frames and a selection of fun party props. The resulting tagged selfie images appeared instantly via a live social media feed on the site and on a customized video wall at the show.
The focal point of every B&N show is its interactive presentation space, for which reitdesign once again oversaw the design of every detail–even down to the sofa cushions! Our work for the show didn’t stop there: we also created hotel signage and wayfinding, presentation graphics, wall clings, digital screens, printed guides and even a souvenir tote bag.
