Fordham University Press, which celebrated its centennial in 2007 publishes sixty to seventy scholarly books annually, primarily in the humanities and social sciences and has an outstanding reputation for producing award-winning studies in many fields. They turned to reitdesign to convert their website into a dynamic, fully functioning online destination for both customers and community alike.
The current website was reconfigured to serve as both resource center and e-commerce store, complete with special features to enhance visual appeal and functionality. Helpful and informative links–such as “Book of the Month”, interactive seasonal catalogs, a robust database and a blogging platform were integrated into the site, along with easy access to social media accounts. What’s more, despite the sophistication of the new site, a content management system (CMS) enabled Fordham to easily update.
