The Javits Center

The Javits Center is the premiere convention center in New York City, designed by I.M. Pei and named after U.S. Senator Jacob Javits, who passed the year of its opening in 1986. It houses 840,000 square feet of flexible exhibition space and is maintained by the NYC Convention Center Operating Corporation. An organization of such stature required a cohesive marketing strategy to herald new developments as well as a promotional plan to increase business.

Reitdesign was selected as Agency of Record from among a field of 20+ contenders to assist Javits in a strategic makeover and to design, create and produce a portfolio of materials including, but not limited to communication tools, annual reports, newsletters, welcome screens and signage, as well as a brand new website. Two years into our challenge, we’re increasingly excited to devise promotional programs that will bring new business to Javits, as the 7 train extends west and the Hudson Yards area in which it resides undergoes a major revitalization.
