Founded by former Wall Street maven Matt Pomerantz in 1994, Zucker’s Bagels is a New York City institution, home of the award-winning, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagel, lusted after by hordes of locals who line up daily for their Zucker’s fix. Their virtual storefront, however, didn’t really convey the delish factor nor communicate the owner’s deep community commitment.
To bridge the gap, reitdesign created mouth-watering imagery for its website and an appetizing menu of features such as ‘What Z Deal?’ promotions, ‘Spread Z Word’ news feed and a ‘HappeningZ’ calendar. And we didn’t stop there, taking the in-store experience to the web with a clickable deli scale to create orders and a cutting board to display quotes. As a result, business is booming and there’s only one problem: what to do with the longer lines wrapping around the store?
